Feasibility Study (FS / PFS)
RegulatoryTechnical-economic study assessing the economic viability of a mining project.
Detail
Feasibility Studies are the economic-technical assessments required to convert mineral resources into reserves. Three tiers: Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA — earliest stage, ±50% accuracy), Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS — ±25% accuracy), Definitive/Bankable Feasibility Study (DFS/BFS — ±15% accuracy). NPV, IRR, AISC and payback period are the core outputs. Typically only a DFS qualifies for project financing. Mineralis uses the FS stage as an input for the Stage sub-score (arriving in v0.2).
