Qualified Person (QP)

Regulatory

Licensed geologist or engineer authorized to sign NI 43-101 reports.

Detail

Qualified Person is the individual with formal responsibility for the technical accuracy of an NI 43-101 Technical Report. Requirements: at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the specific mining domain (gold, lithium, etc.), and membership in a recognized professional association (CIM, AIPG, AusIMM). The QP is personally liable for misrepresentations — which makes NI 43-101 a markedly stricter standard than, for example, typical US SEC disclosures. Mineralis incorporates QP signatures as a trust signal in future sub-scores (planned: Geology sub-score sub-component).
